Would You?
Instructions for the leader
Activity: Consent & Boundary Negotiation Dyad Divide the group into pairs (Person A and Person B) seated facing one another. Pre-Activity Guidance: Frame this session as an experiential exercise in clear request-making, consent, and boundary setting. Emphasize that saying "No" is celebrated as a healthy demonstration of boundaries. Structure & Rules: Request Making: For 5 minutes, Person A repeatedly asks Person B for things they genuinely want in the moment (verbal, emotional, or physical requests, e.g., "Would you give me a high-five?" or "Would you share a favorite childhood memory?"). Response Options: Person B must respond with one of three choices: (1) Accept, (2) Respectfully Decline, or (3) Propose a Counter-Offer. Role Switch: After 5 minutes, roles reverse and Person B becomes the requester for 5 minutes. Timing: Allocate 5 minutes per role (10 minutes total), ending with a 3-minute paired reflection on how asking and declining felt.
