Instructions for the leader

Set up a small "stage" area where one or two people can stand visibly. Gather the rest of the group in front of the stage as an "audience". Explain that this is an improv news broadcast game. One person starts on stage and declares, "This just in, [a news headline]!" (e.g., "This just in, cats have taken over the government!"). The next person replaces them on stage and adds a related but even wackier follow-up story (e.g., "This just in, the cats are demanding tuna taxes!"). Continue the chain, with each new person building on the previous headline in an escalating, absurd way. Encourage quick turns, dramatic delivery, and a "yes, and..." mindset to build on ideas.
