Story and Impact
Instructions for the leader
Activity: Personal Narrative & Emotional Impact Sharing Divide participants into pairs or small groups of up to 4 people and announce a central narrative theme (e.g., "adventure," "bliss," "learning from failure"). Pre-Activity Guidance: Frame the exercise around empathy and reflection. Emphasize that the goal of impact sharing is not advice or evaluation, but expressing how the story emotionally resonated with the listener. Structure & Rules: Story Delivery: Each participant takes a 3-minute turn sharing a personal story related to the chosen theme. Impact Reflections: Following the story, each listener takes 1 minute to share the specific personal "impact" or emotion the story evoked in them. No Cross-Talk: Storytelling and impact responses occur without interruptions or debates. Timing: Allocate ~7 minutes per person (story + impact rounds). Ensure all group members complete both roles before closing.
