Never Before
Instructions for the leader
Activity: Novel Question & Curiosity Exchange Gather participants and divide them into pairs or small groups of 3–4 people. Explain that participants will take turns asking unique, non-standard questions they may have never been asked before (e.g., "If you could live anywhere, where would you live?"). Pre-Activity Guidance: Frame this activity as a low-pressure curiosity builder. Remind participants that there are no right or wrong answers, and that passing is always welcome if someone is put on the spot or prefers to observe. Structure & Rules: Turn-Taking: Move clockwise around the group, allowing each participant to ask a novel question and share their own answer. Active Listening: Encourage short, focused responses of 1–2 minutes per answer so everyone remains engaged. Autonomy: Participants retain full autonomy to pass on answering or asking a question if they choose. Timing: Set a total timer for 10–15 minutes, ensuring equal sharing time for all group members before closing with a brief reflections check-in.
