Instructions for the leader

Provide each participant with a slip of paper and a pen, and place a hat or basket in the center of the room. Gather the group in a seated circle. Each person writes down two or three anonymous secrets or rarely shared experiences on their slip of paper and folds it for privacy. Collect all the slips in the hat. Pass the hat around the circle. Each person draws one slip, reads it silently, and then reads it aloud as if it were their own story, embodying its emotion. After a confession is read, the person who actually wrote it has the option to reveal themselves. Continue until all confessions are shared.
