A's and B's
Instructions for the leader
Activity: Concentric Musical Exchange Dyads Form two concentric circles in an open room: an inner circle facing outward ("A's") and an outer circle facing inward ("B's") to form facing pairs. Pre-Activity Guidance: Frame this exercise as a playful pattern-interrupt designed to break social inhibition and foster spontaneous creative energy. Encourage laughter and non-judgment. Structure & Rules: Spontaneous Singing: "A" opens by singing 10 seconds of any song that pops into their head. "B" immediately responds by singing 10 seconds of a completely different song triggered by the moment. Continuous Rally: Pairs continue trading 10-second song clips back and forth for 2 minutes. Circle Rotation: After 2 minutes, the facilitator calls "Rotate!", and the outer circle steps one spot left to form new pairs. Timing: Run 3β4 rotation rounds of 2 minutes each (10 minutes total), finishing with a collective group applause.
