How the board works
Monthly board meeting
The chair sets the agenda; members review proposals, share wins, and delegate new projects. Expect ~4 weeks between proposal submission and a decision.
Weekly share-omony
Open floor for any board member to share progress, ask for help, or surface what's alive for them. Lightweight and relational.
Claim a project
Browse the projects list below. If an open project fits your bandwidth, claim it β ownership moves to you until you release or deliver it.
Deliver & report back
Move the project to in_progress, then done. Bring the outcome to the next board meeting so the movement learns from it.

The standard
Code of conduct
Our Board of Advisors is a community of active contributors. We ask each advisor to help create the culture we want Joymaker to embody: generous, courageous, communicative, and engaged.
Monthly participation
Set up your schedule so that you can attend the monthly board meeting regularly.
Communicate when absent
If you're unable to attend a monthly meeting, let the board know and share an update in the board chat, including your current progress and your weekly Joymaker win.
Stay informed
Review the meeting minutes after each meeting so you remain up to date on decisions, conversations, and next steps.
Follow through
If you commit to an action, introduction, or contribution, follow through β or communicate promptly if you're unable to.
Give honest feedback
Share your perspective openly and constructively. We value candor over politeness that leaves important things unsaid.
Resolve conflict directly
Address disagreements or concerns promptly and one-on-one with the person involved. Avoid gossip, triangulation, or discussing conflicts behind someone's back.
Assume positive intent
Approach disagreements with curiosity, respect, and a genuine desire to understand.
Protect confidentiality
Keep confidential business, personal, and board information private unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
Contribute, don't just consume
Look for ways to contribute your ideas, expertise, connections, encouragement, and energy to the mission.
Communicate honestly
If your capacity, priorities, or ability to participate changes, let the board know rather than quietly disengaging.
The standard
You don't need to be perfect or available all the time. We simply ask that you communicate, contribute, and treat one another with respect.
Delegatable work
Projects & roles
Claim what fits your bandwidth, deliver it, release it when done. Chairs and admins can add or edit items.
